Living from an open heart

Updated: Oct 29, 2020

No matter what happened to you before, your past doesn’t define you, and it doesn’t mean it will repeat itself again ~

We’ve all made mistakes in the past, but surely we’ve learned a lot from them, yes? You live, you learn.

The most challenging lesson is to learn how to live from an open heart.

You have a unique way of coping with heartache, and it is valid. Whichever your way, I hope it includes taking time to heal and practice self-care.

Embracing self-care is very important during heartbreak. You are the person that needs you the most. Taking care of your emotional needs and wellbeing while you process and heal will allow you to accept, understand, and connect with your inner strength.

Even if you don’t see it as a possibility now, you can heal from heartbreak, and you will. The best part? Knowing what you know now, means you can choose different next time.

Regardless of what happened, you can move on.

Processing heartbreak is not just about coping with the pain in loss, it has to do with genuinely appreciating what that story brought to your life so you can feel at peace.

It is through the crack that light comes in.

Healing, integrating what happened, and learning how to open your heart again, can be an opportunity for you to rediscover your identity as an individual, value your worth, and make space in your life for someone who can contribute to your life in a healthy way.

If you’re experiencing heartbreak, you may want to sit quietly for a few minutes under tonight’s full moon, close your eyes, and say out loud: “Let everything that doesn’t belong to me, and doesn’t serve my highest purpose, go”, while you exhale as much pain as you can from your body.

Whenever you’re ready, you can allow your-Self to let go and move towards a place of safety and inner peace.

It is possible to live from an open heart. Just give your-Self the care and time you need until you’re ready.

I’m here with you.
