When I say the word “nourishment”, what comes to mind? If you are thinking “food”, this message is for you ~
👉🏻 What if I told you the foods you eat are secondary to all the other things that “feed” you?
IIN has a philosophy about food: everything that we consider as a source of nutrition is really just a secondary source of nourishment.
🤍 How do you feel when you read this?
This means there are other important aspects of our lives that feed us, which make up what we call “primary foods”:
Every day we take in experiences from life that fulfill us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. These experiences provide nourishment, just like food provides energy. One cannot thrive if any aspect of being goes unfulfilled.
The extent to which we are able to incorporate the things we hunger for determines how enjoyable and worthwhile our lives feel. From touch to love, art to self-expression, and adventure to spirituality, there is no limit to that which nourishes different aspects of who we are.
