You-are-enough.
How do you feel when you read this?
Even though a part of you may believe you are not enough, you can allow yourself to feel safe.
Even if that part has been holding this belief for a long time, you can give it permission to let it go.
Even if this belief is deeply rooted in you, and you don’t know how to let it go, you can allow your-Self the possibility of doing so.
You may have had many experiences where you learned you are not enough.
This belief may be weighing on you daily, affecting your decisions every time you doubt yourself, when your inner critic takes control.
Your inner critic may bring up ideas of how you are not enough, and with them the pain behind this belief, so you can acknowledge it and begin to let it go.
Where did you learn you are not enough? Who told you that? What happened?
You are safe now, allow your-Self to be vulnerable so you can acknowledge the true pain of believing you are not enough, so you can be present with the emotions that result from holding that belief.
Where did you decide you are not enough?
It is safe to feel this pain and to begin to let it go.
Where in your life do you feel like you are not enough? Are you not productive enough? Are you not healthy enough? Are you not happy enough? Are you not perfect enough? Where have you been putting all this pressure on yourself?
Notice that pressure now. Notice how high you have set the bar. Notice how perfect you have to be to feel enough.
How often have you compared yourself to what others present to the world —their happiness, their success, their joy, whatever it is you think you don’t have, believing you are not enough?
Notice how exhausting this is, how it drains your vitality, your creativity, your joy of life.
You are enough.
But don’t take my word for it. Start building, with every decision, a new belief. The belief that you are enough, even if you are not perfect.
Repeat after me:
“I am doing the best I can and that is enough. I am enough.”
“I am flawed, I am imperfect, I am human, and I am enough.”
“I’m going to procrastinate, I’m going to eat things I didn’t want to, I’m going to skip exercise... and I am enough.”
With love, ~L ❤️.
