Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching
As a Bachelor in Alternative Systems of Medicines and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals. Throughout my education, I have been exposed to the science in dietetics and the most cutting-edge dietary theories while studying highly effective coaching techniques to help you find the right lifestyle that works best for you.
Having experienced doubts and difficulties with adequate nutrition and how to lead a healthy lifestyle myself, first when I was working as a model in my early 20s, and then as a corporate leader in my 30s, I know how our personal struggles always lead us to research and learning, because deep down we know there is a better way.
I've always been grateful for my professional experience, though it took me a while to learn how to prioritize my needs over my work requirements and responsibilities. In time, I learned how to ditch dieting, overcome the need for food to be my default go-to for stress relief, and treat my body with the respect it deserves. Healing my relationship with food amidst the challenging messages in our society, was a long self-loving journey that required me to learn how to incorporate several health-promoting behaviors into my life with a focus on my wellbeing rather than on my weight.
Following my passion for health and wellbeing, in 2017 I graduated from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, where I learned about the dietetic and nutrition care needed during the different periods and stages of life and the specific diet therapy for several disease conditions, as well as the physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and clinical medicine as related to nutrition.
There, I learned that diet and health are two sides of the same coin. Dietetics is, like all scientific disciplines, an ever expanding and constantly evolving field, that deals with the adequacy of diets during normal life cycle and modifications required during diseased conditions.
This education provided me with an understanding of menu planning, nutrition, food requirements for people according to their age groups, diet therapy, diet during illness, food sensitivities, and sports nutrition.
It was then that I started to notice among my patients that those who had experienced trauma had difficulties in maintaining a nutritious diet and a healthy lifestyle.
This is why, in 2022, I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories –Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between– as a complement for my practice.
There, I studied with the world's top health and wellness experts, including:
- Joshua Rosenthal, founder of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
- Walter Willett, MD, DrPH, chair of nutrition at Harvard University.
- Andrew Weil, MD, director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
- Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating.
- David Wolfe, raw food leader and nutrition expert.
- Marion Nestle, PhD, MPH, professor at New York University’s Department of Nutrition and Public Health.
This education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I work with my clients to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness.
In my private practice, I integrate my experience and studies to guide you, so you can feel better than ever in the healthiest way possible for you.
Most approaches to healthy eating dwell on calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together. As these pieces accumulate, my clients find these changes collectively creating a much larger impact than they originally anticipated. We work on what they want to improve within the circumstances of their unique situation.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship(s) cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs because I understand that life happens and your needs will change. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert, not the latest magazine article or fad diet book.
No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.
Each session will leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and money. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.
Our sessions will cover several topics which include:
- Integrative Nutrition plate.
- Primary food.
- Crowding out.
- Deconstructing cravings.
Let’s define what you value most from your well-being. We’ll use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I will not dictate a diet for you, but together we will explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. Together we’ll co-create your health goals within reasonable time frames and actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward.
Tired of one-size-fits-all approaches to dieting? Drained from toxic relationships? Overwhelmed by stress at work? Fed up with those nagging cravings? Want to feel great in your body? Ready to accomplish your goals in a way that’s empowering and exciting?
