Feel to heal

“I’m trying to raise my vibration, do you think crying will go against it?” —asked my healee.

Trauma generates emotions that are usually not addressed until later on, this is why they get held in your body, causing you psychological and physical distress.

The healthy flow of emotions, ie. anger, sadness, fear, guilt, are essential for your wellbeing.

Held in emotions do not go away on their own, you need to feel them to process them and allow them to leave your body once you are ready to accept, let go, and integrate the experiences that brought up those emotions.

You need to feel it in order to heal it. There is no other way.

When you try to bury your emotions, they will flare back at you, every time you believe a new situation is similar to the original one, and they may even come out in greater proportion than what corresponds to the new situation —because you are carrying that previous experience with you, wherever you go.

One of the best choices you can make throughout your life, is choosing to feel. Even if that means crying.

I truly believe in crying as a somatoemotional release resource, that allows you to understand your emotional world, “pour out” emotions so that your body doesn’t get sick, process uncomfortable situations, feel relief, and connect you to your support system in an open, real way.

In order to heal, you need to bring light to your shadows, make conscious what is unconscious, feel what you are resisting to feel.

You don’t need to go through everything that has happened in your life to be able to heal, you can focus on what triggers you today:

✨ What makes you feel intense anger, shame, despair, grief?

✨ Or where do you think you should feel these but instead you feel numb?

✨ What do these tell you about your current situation, about your choices, about your-Self?

In time, doing this will allow you to bring conscious awareness to your thoughts, emotions, and reactions, so you can free yourself from limiting beliefs and unconsciously driven actions.

Crying can be a door to self-awareness, which can lead to a better understanding of your-Self by exploring curiosity, acceptance, and Self-love.

I’m here for you.
